Highlight of my Night!

Reece and I went to dinner at Shawnie and Brian's house tonight. My sister and her family were there also. Reece and my nephew Aidan were playing trains:

Aidan: Hey Reece, come park your train over here at the train station!

Reece: I'm gonna park it over here at the Lord's house!

Reece then parked his train under Shawnie's christmas tree right next to her Nativity Set.

I just love these moments. It really made my night!

Goodbye Scott

As some of you already know, this has been a very difficult week for me. I just am feeling a bit depressed and alone. I knew this was gonna happen, but I just wasn't quite ready for him to leave yet. It came and went so fast. We have been together for quite a few years now, and I feel I put alot into this relationship. I am not sure how the whole long-distance thing is gonna play out, but only time will tell. I guess things happen for a reason, and perhaps it is the best thing for us all. After all, as much as it hurts to say this: he really wasn't pulling his weight around here anyways. His mind just always seemed as if it were somewhere else. I know time is supposed to heal all wounds, but this is gonna take a while for me to get over. So bare with me.....it just has been a bad week.

THROWBACK THURSDAY!!

I ENJOYED SHAWNIES SO MUCH, I JUST HAD TO PARTICIPATE!!!

WHY IS IT THAT SINCE I DON'T PHYSICALLY GO TO A JOB FOR 8 HOURS A DAY, SOMEHOW MY LIFE ISN'T AS IMPORTANT AS THOSE WHO DO? EXCUSE ME WHILE I VENT AND FEEL SORRY FOR MYSELF FOR A FEW MINUTES, AND FOR THE MOTHERS AND WOMEN WHO DO "WORK"!! JUST BECAUSE I AM NOT CONFINED TO A CERTAIN BUILDING FOR 8-12 HOURS AT A TIME, DOESN'T MEAN I DON'T EXPERIENCE HARD WORK. STAY AT HOME MOMS DO WORK!! NEVER HAVE I ATTENDED AN OUTSIDE JOB THAT WAS SO DEMANDING. I, ALONG WITH MOST UNAPPRECIATED MOMS AND HOUSEWIVES ONLY WISH I COULD WORK IN AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE I COULD PERFORM MY JOB UNINTERRUPTED. I , ALONG WITH MANY OTHER PEOPLE, GO TO SCHOOL FULL-TIME, HAVE TO COME HOME, MAKE MY CHILD SOMETHING TO EAT, HELP THEM WITH HOMEWORK, GIVE THEM A BATH, STUDY FOR AN EXAM, DO THE LAUNDRY, ALL WHILE A LADY IS SITTING IN MY KITCHEN WITH FOILS IN HER HAIR, , SWITCH THE LAUNDRY, WIPE MY KIDS BUTT, TUCK THEM IN, FINISH THE LADIES' HAIR, STUDY SOME MORE, TUCK IN THE KID FOR THE SECOND TIME, REALIZE I AM STARVING...EAT, FOLD THE LAUNDRY, STUDY, GET READY FOR BED, GET IN BED...OOPS REALIZE I FORGOT TO DO MY OWN HOMEWORK!! FINALLY GET TO BED AND DO IT AGAIN TOMORROW...OH YEAH EXCEPT, SOMETIMES I HAVE 3 LADIES SITTING IN MY KITCHEN WITH FOIL IN THEIR HAIR!! NOT THAT THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE, ANYONE CAN DO IT, BUT IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT I AM NOT TIRED AT THE END OF THE DAY!!

Is It Starting Already?

Ok...either I have a really bad diet or the weird pregnancy food stuff is already kicking in. Is that even possible? All I want to eat lately is lemon rice soup and rolls from round the clock. And today I ventured out and had a pizza sub from subway....with pickles. Oh yeah, and I've gained ten pounds in six weeks. Ewww I can already see where this is heading....late night binge eating, not being able to fit in booths at restaurants, squeezing my fat feet into my cute little black ballet flats....not to mention the adorable ruby red mary-jane heels I just bought. I see my pointy chin starting to turn into two doughy rolls, soon my wedding rings will be cutting off my circulation. Oh yeah and I can't forget the evening grease-up sessions...no not for body building, but for strechmarks. On the other hand...my nails are growning quite nicely!

How I love Pumpkin Carving!!! It was alot of fun. Scott came home for the weekend and he was having as much fun as Reece was, cleaning out the pumpkin guts!! The best thing about Halloween? Is that Christmas season for us starts the day after....That's right!! Last year my tree went up on Nov. 1st. Scott was so embarrased that he wouldn't let me open up our living room blinds. That was until 3 other houses had the trees lit up in the windows on our street!! It was great!! Oh yeah, and the lite 93.9 starts Christmas music in a few days!! Whoo Hoo!!

FINALLY! Reece is finally going to be a big brother!! I am so excited. As most of you know, Reece was a big suprise...pleasant, but Big suprise. So it was such a neat experience to find out that I was pregnant when I really hoped and was ready to be. I am so thankful for all the blessings I have in my life. My husband, son, and all of my family and friends. It is so much more meaningful when there are such wonderful people in my life to share it with. Mama i Bebe here I come!!!! ( this is a really trendy mom and baby store that is in Highland...awesome!)

Kids Just Don't Get It!!

If you ask Reece who one of his best friends is he would tell you it is my nephew Aidan. Now, Reece must beg me 3-4 times a day to play with Aidan. When we finally get to Aidan's house, all they do is fight like a couple PMS-ing women!!! They always end up ruining a good time for themselves. So, of course, Kathleen (Aidan's mom) and I are constantly threatening and screaming at them to stop!! I don't recall ever arguing so much with my friends when I was their age, because I knew that if I wanted to play with them, I better not cause a raucous. Kids Just Don't Get It!!!!!!!!
